We often focus only on what is right in front of us and the present moment, with the past becoming blurry and the future uncertain. However, the story of David reminds us that God is always active and working. Everything in our lives, both good and bad, has a purpose—not just for us, but for those around us and even for future generations. David, a man after God’s own heart, is an example of how to live amidst uncertainty. Yet, he is also an imperfect image of the even greater example and hope we find in Jesus, who guides us through every part of our lives, from the mundane to the extraordinary.
